Become a tester
Help test small, private Android apps before they reach Google Play.
I am Sonith, an independent developer in India. I have built a set of small private Android apps. They have no ads, they work offline, and your data stays on your phone. Google Play asks new developers to test each app with real people for 14 days before it can be released. If you have an Android phone, I would be grateful for your help.
What I ask
- Join the tester group with your Google account (the one on your Android phone).
- Open the test link for 1 to 3 apps and tap Become a tester, then install them from Google Play.
- Open the apps now and then for 14 days, and stay opted in.
- Optional: tell me what is confusing or broken.
What I do not ask
- No payment, and nothing is paid to you.
- No reviews or ratings. If you ever write one, make it your honest opinion. Please do not create extra accounts.
- No personal data. You can leave at any time.
Only real people with real Android phones are wanted. I do not use paid or fake testers.
How to join
- Join the Google Group: https://groups.google.com/g/sonith-apps-testers (coming soon)
- On your Android phone, open an app's test link on the Play apps page and tap Become a tester.
- Install the app from Google Play, open it, and try the 3-minute checklist (ask me for the guide).
- Stay opted in for 14 days.
Apps and test links
Every app that is in (or about to enter) closed testing, with its test link, is on one page: Apps on Google Play: test links. Test links open once each test is live; apps marked "Coming soon to testing" are not open yet.
Privacy
As a tester, I can see your email address through Google Play and Google Groups, nothing more. I do not see what you do in the apps. The apps collect no data: everything stays on your phone, and there are no ads or trackers. Each app has its own privacy policy, linked above. You can opt out at any time by opening the test link and tapping Leave the programme.
